apres corte

so i didn't take any photos on our trip to corte yesterday but it's a nice place and the train ride was stunning and bone rattling just like the book said it would be! we caught the train at 6.49am and met francesca from italy, clara from spain and manuel from italy as well. and then when we got to corte we met all the other assistants who are all over corsica! woo hoo! thom managed to drop in that we live in a villa by the sea and everyone was pretty excited to be our friends!

anyway first some pictures of the villa:

something nice at the bottom of the stairs. we also live above an ecole maternelle (before primaire -- ergo kids aged 4 - 6) so we wake to the plaisant laughs of children! and then look out the window to see the sea lit up by the sun :)



it's sort of hard to take photos inside cause it's pretty small but by the sounds of it we have a mansion in comparison to what other's have found
anyway some beach photos and flowers perhaps now?

here is what we see as we walk down to the main street -- giant cactus, big palm and these flowers that grow everywhere and drape all over the place!

the store i bought my hairdryer in and where we will eventually get our espresso pot -- thom checking out the options



a very deserted rue fesch on sunday -- not a happening day in ajaccio!



did i mention that i met the italians and spaniards yesterday? anyway francesca one italian just came up to the cafe so that was nice. gotta eat some lunch now :) and get ready for my meeting with mondoloni at 1.45pm
